THE OVERVIEW
BASQUIAT, a boutique located in Yaletown offers a unique line of women’s fashion that includes Barbara Bui shoes, Eugenia Kim Hats, and Ilaria Nistri. A small boutique that rely’s on the keen eyes and sharp fashion sense of business partners Cristina Linden and Liselott Montesano in order to compete against much larger stores and collections. In business since 2005, it wasn’t until 2010 that the decision to launch a formal website was born.
THE BRIEF
A website that is simple and easy to update, has the ability to grow and possibly accommodate a blog, and clearly conveys a strong sense of fashion.
THE SOLUTION
A simple, fashion focused brochure website based on the WordPress CMS. Imagery from the current line up reinforces the style direction and keeps the site sartorially up to date. The site has a simple navigation structure that can be easily modified to incorporate a blog or news section. Shortly after launch a twitter feed was added to allow for experimentation with social media.
