As they point out on their website, just about everything started out with a hammer. It was the peak of technology at some point and probably was for a very long time. Maybe it still is. The important thing is to note what can still be done with some steel, a hammer, and someone swinging it.
David Lance Goines
When I was 9 years old my Dad brought home a poster our neighbor had given him and proceeded to use thumbtacks to put it on the wall of our den – right next to the Olympic poster of Jean-Claude Killy.
Edith Heath
Sometime in the mid-forties Edith Heath founded Heath Ceramics. A short time later she found herself the focus of a one woman show at the San Francisco Palace of the Legion of Honor, her work was picked up by Gump’s of San Francisco. Clearly a woman of refined vision and exceptional craftsmanship, her work is a synthesis of simplicity and beauty.
Sasha Rogers
Sasha Rogers work is a beautiful combination of simple composition, beautiful colour combination’s and layers of upon layers of texture. Having grown up on the prairies it is not hard to see her influences and inspiration. Her work is fantastic and well worth the trip down to the Jennifer Kostuik at 1070 Homer Street.
